Snow Bursts

“Snow Bursts” is an original “Drop Cloth Creation”, which starts with a primed and white painted canvas, placed under Paula’s work surface. As she paints a series of paintings, the paints that she uses spill over onto the drop cloth. She will also test brushstrokes and mark making as well as wipe excess molding and crackle pastes off onto her cloth. At some point, she decides to edit the drop cloth by covering up what she doesn’t like and adding more of what she does. This is the process and how it begins. The beauty of Paula’s “Drop Cloth Creations”, is an uninhibited ability to explore her creativity. With no end goal in mind, she is free to let go and see where her creativity takes her.

“Snow Bursts” with its soft blues, teals and golds, created using alcohol inks and acrylic paints, is a touch of whimsy with lots of texture from the use of molding pastes and crackle glazes, and measures 30”x30”, unmounted, frame not included.
